A Career Built on Hard Work and Dedication
Alyssa joined MetroVac in June 2017 as a Customer Service Representative. With a strong background in finance, her skills quickly stood out. Management saw her potential and moved her to the Accounting team, where she could put her expertise to use.
In January 2023, Alyssa was promoted to Account Manager—a role that came with numerous responsibilities. “With this title came a lot of responsibility and challenges. I became in charge of the bottom line,” she says. Managing finances and improving processes became a key part of her job, ensuring MetroVac stayed efficient and financially strong.
Overcoming Challenges with Smart Solutions
Stepping into a role that was once handled by a three-person team was no easy task. But Alyssa embraced the challenge. “Challenges I have faced include taking on the responsibilities of what used to be a three-person department,” she explains.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed, she focused on finding solutions. She streamlined outdated processes, making operations smoother and more cost-effective. Her efforts in budgeting and financial management have helped MetroVac stay on track while continuing to produce top-quality, long-lasting products for customers.
A Passion for the Work
What keeps Alyssa motivated? It’s a mix of problem-solving and the connections she’s built along the way. “The driving factor to my work is my love for numbers and the relationships that I have with colleagues, customers, and vendors. I truly love what I do,” she shares.
Her passion shows in her attention to detail and the way she collaborates with her team. It’s this dedication that makes Alyssa such a valued part of the MetroVac family.
Looking Ahead
Alyssa isn’t stopping here. She’s focused on improving financial strategies, strengthening relationships with customers and vendors, and continuing to help MetroVac grow. Her goals align with MetroVac’s mission of staying at the forefront of the vacuum cleaner industry.
